About Mission Valley

Mission Valley is a community that can be found in San Diego, California. The site of the first Spanish settlement in California in 1769, Mission Valley is an epicenter for shopping, entertainment, and lifestyle commodities for the whole of the San Diego area. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy the Mission Valley area as it is within a 15 minute drive of the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld San Diego, Mission Bay, and Downtown Gaslamp District and offers great retail opportunities like the three major shopping malls: Fashion Valley Mall, Hazard Center Mall and Westfield Mission Valley. Not only are there plenty of malls to be shopped, citizens or tourists can enjoy charming boutiques, cultural opportunities like art galleries, festive theatres, and delicious Mexican cuisine. Mission Valley Scholarship

Thanks for your interest in our scholarship! Every six months, we select the essay that our panel of 3 judges determines to be the best.

The Fall deadline to apply is November 15th. The Fall winner will be announced to all applicants on December 10th.

The Spring deadline to apply is May 15th. The Spring winner will be announced to all applicants on June 10th.

The current essay prompt is, “Who has inspired your education the most and why?”

No purchase necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law. One entry per household per year. Winner will be notified via email on or before the Winner Selection Date. Failure by potential winner to respond to such notification within ten (10) days of notification, or failure by the potential winner to adhere to these Official Rules, will result in disqualification of the potential winner and an alternate winner will be selected.
